Cha Siu Bao

The Cha Siu Bao is the porky cousin of a dim sum and comes straight from China. It is quite similar to a Cantonese pork filled barbecue bun. The Bao can be prepared by either steaming or baking. The Chinese usually have this as a part of their brunch. You can enjoy this porky delight along with some tea.

Tiropitakia

These little cheesy triangles are a love at first bite. They can be made sweet or savoury depending on the kind of filling used to prepare it. The Tiropitakia is a traditional dessert of the Greek and is mandatory in any traditional feast there. You can also enjoy these yummy pockets in any special occasion or just whenever you feel like.

Mandu

The Mandu comes from the Korean cuisine and are dumplings that are circular in shape. They are served along with Kimchi which is another very famous dish of Korea. The filling of Mandu is usually made of tofu, ginger, garlic, green onions and meat.

Xiaolongbao

This is another form of dumpling that has the traditional pork as filling and also a small piece of aspic. As the dumplings are steamed, the aspic inside melts and becomes liquid. This makes for a wow factor when someone tries this dumpling. The filling is moist and tastes wonderful.

Pierogi

This type of dumpling is quite similar to an Indian sweet known as ‘gujiya’. But the Pierogi originates from Central and Eastern Europe. They have a variety of fillings such as cheese, minced meat, potato, fruit, etc. They are prepared by boiling them and then pan frying them with butter and onions.
